Trying, like many, to figure out more about this canoe. Age, and model. This number is stamped in. Pics included. Has Peterborough decal on Bow. Has been re-canvased. 14' 8" long. Keel. Very solid hull. Thanks all.

Welcome, there are no known serial number records for Peterborough canoes so detailed information is probably not available. However, Peterborough decals did change over time as described at http://www.wcha.org/forums/index.php?threads/11481/ so that may help estimate the age of your canoe. Others here know much more about Canadian canoes than I do so one of them may have another way to date this canoe. Good luck,

Looks like a Minetta/Chum. Was built by Chestnut, may have been badged as a Peterborough however as these were built on the same forms and are largely interchangeable. Nice colour.
