-  2012 one outside gunwhale was replaced, all of the planks retightened and the canvas was replaced with heavier gauge.

- There are 5 coats of Epifanes marine varnish which originates in Holland and is recognized as teh best marine varnish available.  There are 4 coats of paint which was formulated by the restorer himself.

- Total cost of gunwhale replacement, retightening of planks and canvas replacement: $1350. The canoe has not been used since these investments were made.

- Because of the workmanship in the construction of the canoe, it is above the standard for a Lakefield.
