18' Old Town Otca/Guide wood/canvas canoe, from 1965, serial # 174644-18. It was fully restored in 2018 and looks just like it did when it left the factory. It hasn't even seen water yet. It weighs a manageable 87#.
This canoe, serial number 116367, was shipped to Abercrombie and Fitch on March 17, 1936. It is an A.A. Grade with mahogany gunwales, thwarts, decks and seats. The keel was laid up on Feb 26, and varnishing was completed March 4. It was painstakingly restored professionally in 1985-86.
